Program sent me too the new HP updater but it was for Vista, not XP that I am using

when I try to download the update for hp update it advises that this is for windows vista and not xp

HP Update is useless since my system is XP and i don't want Vista. HP doesn't provide updates for XP so the informer works but it never finds anything.

the hp updates are not quite useful in keeping the system upto date.
please increase the update information so that it could be somewhat helpful to me and others...

Yes it does,and that is where it should lead you, now it would be a problem if it lead you to the Dell or Apple page.
